Advice for hosts
Are you looking to set up or take over a tourist homestay?
To open a gîte or a bed and breakfast, administrative procedures must be carried out:
– The very first step before opening your tourist accommodation is his declaration at the town hall. A Cerfa form (13566/14004) must be completed and submitted to the town hall of the municipality where the accommodation is located. An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent back to the owners and must be forwarded to the Tourist Office. This declaration is compulsory and free of charge.
- From your very first rental, you must make yourself known to the tourist office. The latter will inform you of regulatory provisions currently in force in the territory concerning the collection of the tourist tax.
The Pays d’Oise et d’Halatte Tourist Office promotes all accommodation providers located within its area, free of charge and with no membership required, provided they comply with current legislation. This promotion includes a listing in the tourist guide, a feature on its website, ongoing support and assistance with the necessary procedures.
It is recommended to rate your accommodation (from 1 to 5 stars), which brings a official guarantee of service quality and comfort to guests. This classification also entitles you to a tax allowance of 71% on taxable rental income, instead of 50% for an unclassified furnished property. Once you have obtained the classification, you can then apply for certification like Gîtes de France or Clévacances for your self-catering accommodation.
